By becoming members of the Patients Association you are demonstrating your commitment to listening to patient voices and developing your service to ensure it meets patients needs.

Membership benefits

We are happy to discuss the needs of your particular organisation and tailor our support to address those needs. Typical benefits of becoming members of the Patients Association can include:

  • Up to 12 days per year of Project Management time from the Patients Association, for projects to improve patient involvement, patient experience, complaints handling or for training and facilitation 
  • Access to Patients Association feedback tools for gathering patient feedback, including the 'Reaching for Gold Standards' tool and our Patient Participation Group pack
  • Access to networking opportunities for sharing of best practice and access to our distribution networks
  • Up to ten hard copies of any Patients Association publications and our weekly e-newsletter
  • Access to additional support from the Patients Association, from the allotted 12 days or additional time agreed at preferential rates for:
    • additional project management time
    • organisation of a conference
    • facilitation for training/workshop – eg dignity and compassion, carer awareness, complaints process, communication, shared decision making, Patients Participation Groups
    • administration of an independent questionnaire to gather patient feedback
    • production of a film using Community Reporter material
    • access to support for complaints, training or a peer-learning process.
