In this workshop, clinical researchers from National Institute of Health and Care Research explained their work and how general practices can become involved in research projects.

  • An introduction to the local clinical research network teams
  • What it means to be part of research
  • Some examples of current research
  • Benefits to patients
  • Encouraging more GP practices to get involved in research.

Our project with the PPGs in Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB has created resources to support patient groups that include setting up a PPG, supporting volunteers, and working in partnership, and more.
