At the Patients Association, our mission is clear – to make sure everybody can get the health services they need to live well. We believe this is best achieved when the health service works in partnership with patients.

It is likely that there will be a general election this year. The pressures the health and care services are under, which have affected patients’ care, have guided the development of our general election manifesto.

Our manifesto outlines key steps the next Government must take to ensure access to high quality care and introduce patient partnership across health and care services.

We want the next Government to:

  • Take patient partnership from theory to practice
  • Make increasing the availability of quality care a national priority
  • Place health at the heart of government
  • Deliver genuine two-way communication between patients and health and care services
  • Provide the workforce patients need.

Explore our manifesto to discover the actions the next Government can take to make our vision of accessible care, designed and delivered in partnership with patients, a reality.
