In response to further plans for legislation to improve collaboration in the NHS, we welcome much of the proposals but raise serious concerns about the lack of a clear role for patients in designing and implementing services.

2019 - Consultation response - Possible changes to NHS legislation
NHS England developed proposals to change the legislation that underpins the NHS, to move it away from a marketised system to an integrated and collaborative one. We expressed support for the change in principle, but outlined concerns about accountability and transparency in the proposals.

2018 - Consultation response - Developing a long term plan for the NHS
As a condition of the extra money announced for the NHS in 2018, NHS England was required to develop a new ten year plan. Our response urged that the plan should be both ambitious and patient-focused.
