Rude Clinicians

Example: Sarah went to her GP to complain about a long term health problem. She felt that her GP was rude and dismissive, and based his diagnosis on his own prejudice and not on the facts at hand.

It is an unfortunate fact that not all medical professionals have the bedside manner that patients would like them to have.

Patients should not accept rude or dismissive behavior from medical professionals, and especially not when they feel this attitude is compromising their care.

Patients may wish to consider pursuing a complaint against medical professionals that they feel have behaved in such a way, using the NHS complaints procedure.
