What we have to say Latest news Coronavirus – latest news, March 26th WhatsApp coronavirus information service Users of the messaging service WhatsApp can now access official information via a new service. You can add 07860 064422 in your phone contacts and then message the word ‘hi’ in a WhatsApp message to get started. A chatbot will then provide you with advice from GOV.UK about coronavirus. Due to high levels of need, people are being encouraged to use online services to find information and advice in the first instance, to call NHS 111 only if really necessary, and not to call 999 unless it’s a genuine emergency. Figures The latest official figures show that 97,019 people have been tested for coronavirus, of whom 9,529 were positive, and 463 have died. Please note these figures do not cover a full 24 hour period. Further information Please see our further resources, below, for more information. Our helpline remains open from 9:30am to 5pm on weekdays.Coronavirus – advice, guidance and rules Coronavirus - what can you do?
