We are excited to announce the launch of our new Live Chat service, which provides patients and the public with even easier access to a helpline adviser. The free Live Chat service is available every weekday between 2pm and 5pm.

Whether you have a query about the complaints process or want to know how to access your medical records, our helpline advisers are just a click away to provide you with the information you need.

The Live Chat service will be available every weekday from 2pm until 5pm. To access Live Chat during these hours, go to our helpline page, scroll down and click on the chat icon to be connected to one of our advisers.

You can still contact our helpline team between 9.30am and 5pm each weekday by calling 020 8423 8999 or by emailing [email protected].

Commenting on the launch of the new service, Rachel Power, Chief Executive of the Patients Association said: “We’re delighted to be introducing Live Chat as an additional way for people to make contact with our helpline.

“We know that many people access information about health and social care online, but that much of it is misleading and it can be difficult to separate out the facts. Our new Live Chat service offers patients a direct route to communicate with our specialist advisers, who can provide clear and simple information on all parts of the health and social care system.

“Live Chat provides a convenient and confidential way to access advice and is good news for the increasing number of people who prefer to use the internet to find out information. We’re always looking for new ways to engage patients, their families and carers, and this promises to be an exciting new service for us to offer the public.”
