Appeal for doctors and nurses to return to the NHS An appeal is being launched for doctors and nurses who have left the NHS to return to work to tackle coronavirus. Those who have left the NHS within the last three years are being contacted, while final year medical and nursing students are being offered the chance to take temporary, fully-paid roles. People who are in vulnerable categories for coronavirus are not being asked to re-join. Training and induction will be provided for all clinicians and professionals joining the NHS by these routes.
