Pain in Older People - Discussion Dinner
10/10/2007 - 10/10/2007
The Patients Association continued our campaign to improve the management of chronic pain for older people by promoting the findings of our 2007 Reports at a small dinner on 10th October at the Royal Society of Medicine.
We were delighted that Norman Lamb MP, Patrick Hall MP, Dr. Andrew Vallance-Owen (BUPA), Dr. Joan Hester (British Pain Society) and Colin Young (Leonard Cheshire Disability) joined trustees for dinner to work on the next steps.
The result is an agreement to support our campaign at Westminster, and Leonard Cheshire Disability, the UK’s largest voluntary provider of disability care, agreed to pilot work in their services. We thank Napp Pharmaceuticals for their support of the event.
