Concerns around primary care and it's services have always taken up a large proportion of our calls to the Helpline. As such we have devised a range of publications suited to helping you deal with some of the most common issues.
These include guides on how to navigate appointments and complaints systems, as well how to get the most out of your consultation.
For further information please contact our Helpline directly on 0845 608 4455 or at helpline@patients-association.com.
In response to the many calls that we hear from patients and visitors involved in secondary care we have developed guides regarding key aspects of a patients care.
These guides include tips on going into hospital, how to make a complaint and, for those wanting to visit people in hospital, how to be a healthy visitor.
The Helpline gets many calls relating to all sorts of social care matters. The enquiries include how will I be assessed for social care, how will my care be funded and also how do I complain about my treatment.
In response to these enquiries we have now designed a handy guide on Adult Social Care which covers all of these topics.
The Helpline has always been involved in the designing of useful factsheets and patient guides, all as a result of calls that we have heard.
These guides can be accessed here and include such topics as how to access your medical records, negotiating pain management and information on malnutrition.
